Homes and Interiors Scotland: Nashville house is given 21st-century design details to love

Scotland's Homes and Interiors recently highlighted an epic Chad James project in Green Hills.

“It was still in amazingly good shape, having been built with the finest materials and technology of the time,” points out the designer. “But the interior style felt a bit over the top – it was incredibly opulent, with lots of gold and gilt detailing. Our goal was to edit the extravagance and bring the interiors up to date.”

"Elliott sat down with architectural and interior designer Chad James, whose offices sat right over the original café. As they brainstormed, both realized that if they were going to change locations, they also needed to change the look and feel. Gone are the barn wood and rustic feel. In their place, you’ll find a sophisticated yet cozy space washed in grays and whites with modern touches throughout."

Nashville Guru: A Look Inside Edgehill Restaurant

"Edgehill Cafe, a favorite neighborhood coffee shop and restaurant in Edgehill Village, opened in its new space on Monday, November 9, 2015 next door to its previous location at 1201 Villa Place. The new Edgehill provides an additional 500 square feet with room for 50 more seats and a full kitchen.

The new Edgehill location was designed by local interior design and architectural consulting firm Chad James Group. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy but also elegant and contemporary. Highlights include the plush dark purple booth, the gorgeous painting, and thoughtful lighting throughout."
